I am proud to call Tucumcari my hometown.  I am a 1997 Graduate of Eastern New Mexico University with Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and Public Relations.  After graduation, I went to work for the Eastern Plains Council of Governments office in Clovis.  I helped work on and fund several projects and did planning grants across Eastern New Mexico. 

In 1999 I moved to Texas and spent several years doing Economic Development, Community Development, Business development, recruitment and expansion and Chamber of Commerce work including, event planning, tourism marketing, membership development and programing and more   I also had the opportunity over the years to work with a variety of Regional and Multi-State Organizations related to Tourism Development and Marketing, Economic Development, Transportation & Highway Projects and other interest groups.  In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree, I have also earned my IOM Certification through the US Chamber of Commerce’s Institute of Organizational Management. 

When I returned to Tucumcari in 2017 and began working in the Insurance Business.  Recently I was recruited to work with NMSU and NEEDO on the Create Bridges Workforce Development Project.  This position led me to partnering the Greater Tucumcari EDC board, which led me to serving as the Interim Director when the most recent direct took another position.  Being back in New Mexico gives me a sense that I have come full circle.  Working in the NEEDO Region and the Greater Tucumcari EDC really reiterates that feeling and provides me with the opportunity to share the wealth of knowledge and experience I have gained with my years of professional experience.
